How many times have you wanted to share your story with others?
What is your journey in Corporate America and as an Entrepreneur?
Well, why haven’t you shared your story?
I have to send out a huge BRAVO to Renae Bluitt because she created a platform for that to happen. Netflix documentary “She Did That” not only was enlightening but gave me an extra boost to keep going. So many times, it seems like we are not going anywhere, but we are only Three Feet From Gold by Napoleon Hill. We are so close, and the journey gets so tough that we want to throw in the towel and tap out. This is where you should tie your boot a little tighter and keep going. Strap up with all your tools so you will be prepared with you hit another wall, dig your way through.
Throughout this documentary, there were so many ladies in different industries and all shades. They all had different experiences, but the results were very similar to each other. I know a lot of times we do not want to put a color on it. The reality is that black women really do have to work harder to make it. The looks will not stop. The growth stigma will continue to grow. [growth stigma= the perception that people have about a black woman or what a person is accustom to assume]. It does not matter how educated black women maybe we are all still put in an area of she’s always mad, she’s mean, she does not know what she’s is doing, she tries to take over, and so much more. Well hell, what are we supposed to do? We are brought in to do a job or to fix a situation. Just because I am about my business and do not that what you do is funny, or I don’t agree with it does not make me mean or mad. It’s my opinion that I do like it or agree with it. If you want to fix something, then that must mean I need to lead the project or situation and tap into my expertise to get it done, not I try to take over. Everybody that has these feelings needs to look into yourself and stop being so insecure. When God makes each person on this earth, we are all different in our own unique way.
Psalms 139:14 – I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [, and] wonderfully made: marvelous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.
Jeremiah 1:5 – Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb, I sanctified thee, [and] I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.
Genesis 1:27 – So God created man in his [own] image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
Ephesians 2:10 – For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
I’M JUST SAYING!
Don’t be selective when you want to quote scripture and create your own quote.
Don’t be mad because I am good at something you are not. This is MY GIFT. This is why we need to work with each other and not work against each other. The ladies of the CRABBY SHACK are an excellent example of how women support each other. Yes, on-screen, you see them sharing their story, but as women, you can tell that they are honest with each other and trust each other. If you remember them talking about how they had to clean because the cleaning crew did not show up. Do what we have to do. When one of them was calling on the other one, and she said, “what you want me to do, I’m on the grill.” We can see this going so many ways, but grown women do not pick at BS. I am not saying that you won’t fall out. Once things cool down you can come back and talk about it agree or not. You do not have to agree on everything. AGREE TO DISAGREE. It’s ok.
I can go on & on about She Did That Documentary. I can relate to so many things that were shared. I salute you, Renae, for doing this. This is needed.
I look forward to your next project. YOU DID THAT!
