I have had the pleasure of connecting with wonderful people, but I have never seen anyone with the energy of KJ Rose. This lady is so full of herself (not in a negative way), but full of spirit, purpose, confidence, and a beautiful smile. I love that KJ is so transparent about her journey and does not show she started on the top. She is not afraid to say that is had to go to work to make sure she was able to eat and put a roof over her head. So I want to say to up & coming entrepreneurs that it is ok to work and take care of yourself. Don’t let no one tell you that you need to quit to be successful. NOT TRUE! KJ’s motivation and energy are contagious. I am not saying everyone should be this energetic, but what about makes others want to connect with you. During my interview with KJ, I admitted that I had been watching her for a while. I never joined any of the conversations, but I observed. The reason I did this is to see how authentic she was or was this just for followers.
After some time has passed I can truly say she is as authentic as they come. You know you want to have a person like this in your circle. The day I interviewed her immediately I felt her energy some through the screen.
Now that I have bragged about KJ Rose I want to share somethings about her story that you will find to help you to keep your head up and keep pushing. As a business owner or professional, you want to continue to grow and be successful. It’s hard.
Anyone tells you that the journey is an easy journey they are not telling you the truth. In her book, The Rose Effect she mentions a situation with a huge celebrity that she had the opportunity to work with on a song. Like with any of us, we get a call immediately get a boost of energy, get dressed and out the door. Can you imagine walking in a room and you see Heavy D in the room?
Who would not be excited! Wait…..keep it together. You can’t forget why you are there. You must stay focused and get the job done. You want to be called back for future projects. This is the time to put your best foot forward. Get the job done and any corrections. After some time has passed she got the call to fly out of town for the video shoot. Here’s the catch, you have to fund the entire trip yourself. Yep, that’s right. She had to pay for everything to be in this video. She gets there and was told that she was not going to be in the video.
There was no place for her. Of course, any of us will a certain type of way, but what are you going to do? Go off on everyone that you took time off work and had to use your own money to travel or will you pick your head up and “Thank You” and leave? Yea, this is a hard one to hold your head up.
It may seem like you are dragging yourself out of the door because you are doing everything to hold in all of your frustrations. She did!

Think about it. A rose starts as a bulb and over time it will start to bloom. Each layer opens one at a time, not all at once. It takes time to bloom.
